Ignite Works

Ignite Works' objective is to form, build and grow new companies in the Spokane, Coeur d’ Alene and Sandpoint region.

WHAT WE DO:


  • Identify and vet ideas for new companies conceived by regional entrepreneurs and Ignite.

  • Assist in the creation of business plans.

  • Participate in recruiting key team members, advisors and board members.

  • Guide the formation, structure and incorporation new businesses.

  • Develop a pitch deck and secure initial funding.

  • Serve as an aligned co-founder to achieve growth, profitability and success.


Our Selection Process

Ignite Works candidates are invited to apply throughout the year for an interview with our team. Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis with application deadlines on January 31st, April 30th, July 31st and October 31st.


Applicants will be reviewed by Ignite’s CEO and CFO and its team of Collaborators. Those passing the first screen will be invited to present to a group of Ignite Works Mentors. A select few will be chosen to work closely with Ignite to form, fund and build a new company.

Application questions include:


  • What is the passion underlying your desire to start this business?

  • Describe your product or service.

  • What customer need or desire are you intending to satisfy?

  • How are those needs or desires solved today?

  • Who will want to buy your product and why?

  • What will be your company’s competitive advantage?

  • How much do you think people will pay for your product or service?

  • How would you estimate the domestic size of your addressable market?

  • How far along are you in developing your idea/forming your company?

  • Do you have a co-founder? If so, what is his/her background?

  • What role or position within the company do you believe you are best suited for?

  • Are you prepared to dedicate your effort full time to this venture?

  • What are the obstacles you currently foresee in starting this company, developing the product and taking it to market?
